Journal A
The edges of the cover are frayed and the spine is nearly broken. Faint traces of what might once have been gold leaf lettering are barely visible on the front, long faded into obscurity. The journal falls open easily to warped yellowing pages.
Journal B
The cover is bound in worn, cracked leather that is almost black with age and grime. Inside, the handwriting is uneven and spidery, scrawled in ink that has bled and smeared with moisture. There are strange sketches in the margins- shapes that seem hastily drawn, some crossed out violently.
